DELICIOUS WINE AND A DINNER MADEIRENSE WITH FRESH INGREDIENTS STRAIGHT FROM THE GARDEN.

In our opinion food is a huge part of travel experience. Diving into the local flavors, tasting special wine and discovering great and unique dishes. Madeira as well has a lot to offer and benefits from fresh and tasteful ingredients. The subtropical climate is the perfect condition to grow fruits, vegetables and herbs, the ocean provides the Madeirenses with the freshest fish and seafood and the barbecues (for example Espetadas - meat on a laurel stick) done in the traditional braseiro over open fire are famous. And let's not starting talking about the fantastic pastries...

Miradouro do Pináculo: amazing view with wine
The Miradouro do Pináculo offers a truly fantastic view: from the port of Funchal, over the entire city, to the Ilhas Desertas. The viewpoint is located on the old road to the airport. This used to make it a very special place: many travelers who came to Madeira for the first time fell in love with the view and the island "at first sight". This makes it the perfect place for us to take great pictures and enjoy a small taste of the famous Madeira wine. A perfect prelude to our upcoming dinner. Welcome to Madeira - welcome home!

Unique garden and dinner experience

Our next stop is a private home in the hills of Funchal. Here we will join some other food lovers. Upon arrival you will be served with a welcome drink: authentic Poncha da Madeira. Local chef André will show you his fantastic garden with local fruits, vegetables and herbs and and will explain everything about the agriculture. Having seen where the ingredients are coming from he will show and prepare traditional Madeiran dishes for you. Dinner will consist of three courses, one of which is "Espetada". Vegetarian and vegan options are of course available as well, just let us know beforehand. Enjoy the dinner with Portuguese wine, great company and an incredible view of Funchal Bay. A really unique and local dinner experience!
