This trail is nature's playground, where you will connect with the island's stunning beauty. A day of adventure, breathtaking views, and unforgettable heartbeat moments.
Meet us at either at Funchal city center, Lido or Caniço. The excitement starts here!
Coffee kickstart at Casa das Queimadas
Time to kick off the day with a coffee boost on our way to the (1) Casa das Queimadas! Let's have a short Get Together and get you pumped for the day ahead. We'll explain all the thrilling plans for today while you sip on your bica or garoto.
Welcome to the Jungle: chasing waterfalls on the trail
Ready to unleash your jungle spirit? Get ready for an unforgettable hike. As we trek the path along the Levada Caldeirão Verde we can discover lush landscapes, hidden falls and exciting tunnels. At our first goal at the day we will eventually find the waterfall at the "green kettle", the Caldeirão Verde.
Picnic with a view: recharge at Caldeirão Verde
You've conquered the trail and reached the spectacular (2) Caldeirão Verde! Take a breathe and enjoy the small picnic with local snacks we have provided for you, before we head back to the Queimadas. The view can't be any better - a true heartbeat moment!
Senhor Manuel's House: authentic Santana
As the hike concludes, our trusty van awaits. But we're not done yet! Our journey takes us to Senhor Manuel in Santana (4), where we have a peek into his traditional and authentic Madeira House.
Well deserved: Poncha Time!
Of course we are not missing out on liquid local delights! Experience Madeira's culture with a well-deserved stop at a local Poncha Bar and try the famous (real) Poncha. Cheers to us!
Back to Funchal: cheers to new memories and friends
As our day comes to an end, we'll head back to Funchal. We're more than happy to recommend our favourite Poncha Bars, if you want to gon on. Share stories with new friends and cheers to the heartbeat moments you've made today.
