Hey explorer! Are you curious about the west of Madeira? Rightly so, because lush green landscapes and great coastal scenery await you. Madeira's nature in all its glory!
We start at one of our meeting points in the city center of Funchal, at the Lido or in Caniço. Cruise Shippers will be picked up directly at the port. Let's go!

Achadas da Cruz: a piece of paradise
Our adventure takes us to Achadas da Cruz (1), one of our absolute favourite places on the island. Get ready for some thrills, because here we go 600m downhill - with the steepest cable car in Europe and a gradient of 98%. For those who get a little nervous at the thought of the cable car ride: it only takes a very short 5 minutes. It's worth it, because once we reach the bottom, peace, relaxation and breathtaking scenery await us. Simply a beautiful spot of earth between the wild Atlantic Ocean and high green cliffs. Up again, a nice view and some Portuguese coffee is awaiting us - chose between a Bica or a Garoto.

Porto Moniz: refreshing sea pools
Want to cool down? In Porto Moniz (2) natural sea pools between black volcanic rocks are waiting for us. We will also show you the more hidden and quiet ones.

Seixal: Black sand beach and waterfalls
Seixal's black sand beach (3) has made it to some fame on Instagram. Cameras at the ready, because the landscape with beach, sea and waterfalls is just fantastic!​​

Poncha Time!
The day would not be complete without a traditional deliciousness: we stop at a local poncha bar and try the most famous drink of the island. Cheers to us!

Back in Funchal: Cheers to new memories
Our tour is coming to an end, it's back to Funchal. But the adventure doesn't have to end for you yet! We'd love to recommend our favourite poncha bars where you can toast the day with your tour buddies.

The cable car sometimes can be closed due to weather conditions or maintenance that could be carried out.

There could be a waiting time during the cable car activity at Achadas da Cruz, we have no control on it. Some stops might get shorten time to arrive on time to the cable car before its closure.
